Final Project – Further Research

For the Final Project, I have reproduced six photographs by three different photographers. Further to my last blog entry, I decided against shooting The Fork and Bresson’s portrait of Albert Camus. Richard Avedon’s Clifford Feldner, unemployed ranch hand, Golden, … Continue reading Final Project – Further Research

Visual Exercise 3 – Lenses and Lighting

For Visual Exercise 2, we were shown a variety of studio lighting and lenses with a view to creating our portraits. For front lighting, two light sources were used to fully illuminate the subject so that there few shadows on the sitter’s face. We used a single LED lamp to … Continue reading Visual Exercise 3 – Lenses and Lighting

Visual Exercise 2 – Final Images

For Visual Exercise two, I saw an opportunity to document contrasts within the environments I had chosen to shoot. At Berwick upon Tweed, the meeting of land and sea as well as the the clashes between the man-made and natural elements of the coastline were fascinating. However, I have chosen to select my final images from my home town of Livingston. Livingston – An Ageing New Town The … Continue reading Visual Exercise 2 – Final Images
